Here at Gelatissimo we craft beautiful gelato, mixing the freshest ingredients with traditional techniques and a splash of imagination and global inspiration. But did you know what the difference between gelato and ice cream is?
Gelato is commonly confused with ice cream, however, there are some key differences that make Gelatissimo gelato creamy, full of flavour and in our opinion, the tastiest! Gelato uses full cream milk in the production process, whereas ice cream uses cream. By using full cream milk (excluding our sorbets), our indulgent gelato contains less fat and has 50% less air that ice cream giving it a richer more intense flavour.
We create our gelato in small batches daily in your local store, producing only the freshest tasting gelato, with no artificial flavours or colours. Our gelato is then served at -13°C, which is a slightly less chilly temperature than traditional ice cream. This gives our gelato a smoother, softer texture. We also offer a range of gelato that caters for vegan, non-dairy, reduced sugar, and allergy-friendly gelato lovers.
